About VEER

The Vector-Borne Disease Epidemiology, Ecology, and Response (VEER) Hub is a multi-disciplinary research collaboration housed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This collaboration is comprised of academic investigators and public health practitioners from partner universities, military installations, and health care agencies with the primary goal of developing and implementing evidence-based surveillance, response, and control strategies to protect people, animals, and livelihoods from the threat posed by vector-borne diseases in the Carolinas and surrounding regions.
